Boos Beach Club in Luxembourg from local firm Metaform is outfitted with a lightweight, self-supporting roof that is easily removable, leaving the possibility for alterations in the future.
Interwoven around the existing house, the roof creates a relationship with the old structure, while opening up toward the landscape.
The design’s folded form is informed by the Japanese art of origami.
The lateral outdoor terrace was partly removed and replaced with white sand to emphasize its beachy look.
The outside aesthetic is reinforced inside by positioning both the bar and eating areas toward the glass face of the façade.
The 2,150-square-foot polished concrete dance floor surrounds the rugged wooden bar.
Raw steel elements accent the burned wood.
A smoking space as well as a fireplace and small dining enclave are featured in the space.
